FAQ
Your questions, answered
General information only — we always recommend an individual professional assessment.
What is permanent makeup?
Permanent makeup — sometimes called cosmetic tattooing — places pigment in the upper layers of the skin to enhance features such as brows, lips or the lash line. Despite the name, results gradually fade over time.
Is lip blush painful?
Most clients describe mild discomfort rather than pain. Numbing is typically used to keep you comfortable, though sensitivity differs from person to person.
How long does healing take?
Surface healing usually takes around one to two weeks, while colour continues to settle for several weeks after. Timelines vary by treatment and individual skin.
How long do results last?
Longevity depends on your skin type, lifestyle, sun exposure and aftercare. Results gradually soften, and periodic refreshers are common.
Do I need a touch-up?
A follow-up session is often recommended after initial healing to perfect the result. We'll discuss this with you during your consultation.
Am I a suitable candidate?
Suitability depends on your health, skin and medical history. Certain conditions or medications may mean a treatment isn't advisable — we always recommend an individual professional assessment, and you may need to consult your doctor.
How should I prepare?
Preparation varies by service. You'll receive tailored guidance after booking — generally, avoid certain skincare actives, alcohol and blood-thinning supplements beforehand unless your doctor advises otherwise.
What does aftercare involve?
Aftercare usually involves keeping the area clean, applying a provided balm and avoiding sun, heat, sweat and makeup while healing. Written instructions are provided.
What happens at a consultation?
We'll talk through your goals, look at your features and skin, discuss shape and colour, and answer every question. It's relaxed, private and with no obligation.
Are appointments private?
Yes. Appointments are one-to-one in a calm, private setting, with care for your comfort and discretion.
